Martial Skills

Martials skills are a school of Secondary Skills that focus on combat, physical prowess and battle hardened endurance. Whether through countless hours of training or simply being a veteran of numerous military campaigns, characters that select Martial skills are combat oriented and use their unique skillsets to turn the tide of any battle.

With a wide assortment of skills available, characters that select from this school are enabled to engage in thrilling battles, overcome challenges, and defeat formidable enemies. Martial skills provide opportunities for strategic decision-making and character development. Other unique options include the ability to fight while mounted or combine their martial prowess with magical abilities for devastating effects.

Athletics

Though gaining expertise in something as fantastical as the spiritual arts can be quite enticing, the practicality of developing an athletic skill may just be the advantage you need on the battlefield to escape from, or hold your own against an opponent.

Battle Casting

Casters, whether using spirit or faith as their source, spend long hours practicing the craft. However no amount of practice can prepare them for casting in the heat of combat. It can be extremely difficult to concentrate on spell-work when an enraged ogre is swinging a massive warhammer at your head. In times such as this, only experience counts. Battle Casters are those spirit and faith casters that have proven the mettle in combat and are comfortable casting regardless of the battle raging around them.
