Arcane-Elemental-Natural Focus

This is the Class Passive for Runeweavers

The Runeweaver must select one of three possible Class Passives at character creation: Arcane Focus, Elemental Focus, or Natural Focus. This represents a natural ability to channel theirfocus through a particular base category of spirit powers. With so much of their spell casting ability tied to their own physical bodies, landing a perfect blow triggers a natural effect in their body that can be channeled into the spirit powers they feel most comfortable with, with less effort and potentially greater impact. At the same time, focusing their spirit powers inwards also grants Runeweavers the unique ability to regain focus lost from taking damage. Selecting a particular Focus does not exclude Runeweavers from using powers from other base categories.

Arcane Focus: Any time a Runeweaver scores a ‘Perfect’ the next Common/Mana, Dark/Shadow or Light/Sun spirit power costs half as much and has +1% critical hit chance per level. Also, self-casting any Arcane based ‘Buff’, ‘Self Buff’, ‘Ward’, ‘or ‘Shield’ type spirit power automatically regenerates 1 focus.
Elemental Focus: Any time a Runeweaver scores a ‘Perfect’ the next Fire/Heat, Water/Frost, Earth/Land, Air/Storm spirit power costs half as much and has +1% critical hit chance per level. Also, self-casting any Elemental based ‘Buff’, ‘Self Buff’, ‘Ward’, ‘or ‘Shield’ type spirit power automatically regenerates 1 focus.
Natural Focus: Any time a Runeweaver scores a ‘Perfect’ the next Nature/Wild or Celestial/High spirit power costs half as much and has +1% critical hit chance per level. Also, self-casting any Natural based ‘Buff’, ‘Self Buff’, ‘Ward’, ‘or ‘Shield’ type spirit power automatically regenerates 1 focus.

As an example, a level 12 Runeweaver with Natural Focus uses a Thunder Punch as an instant and rolls a 20 on her focus dice. She resolves the Perfect blow against her opponent and then uses her action to follow up the attack by casting Celestial Fist at half the cost (7 spirit instead of 13) with +12% Critical Hit chance. During the enemy turn she takes damage from an opponent, failing her Resolve test and therefore losing 1 Focus. On her next turn, rather than using her instant to attack with a focus ability she instead casts Celestial Shield. Due to her Natural Focus passive she not only gains the benefit of the Celestial Shield power, she also regains 1 Focus.
